Lasalle is partnering with a leading property management company dedicated to providing exceptional services to property owners and tenants alike. With a commitment to excellence, they are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their team and support the financial operations.

Compensation: $23/hr-$24/hr
Location: Southlake, TX Onsite 5x a week
Position Type: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Position Summary
As a  Junior Accountant , you will play a crucial role in the financial management of the property portfolio. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, preparation of financial statements and compliance with relevant regulations. Junior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, verify accuracy and ensure timely payment to vendors and suppliers
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Assist in the preparation of tenant invoices and rent statements
• Monitor tenant payments, identify delinquencies and follow up on outstanding balances
• Record and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash transactions
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and relevant regulations
• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and support
• Assist with administrative tasks related to property management, including filing, record-keeping and data entry

Qualifications

• Entry-level accounting background required (Accounting degree or coursework preferred)
• Solid understanding of debits, credits, and bank reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines

Preferred Experience

• Experience with property management accounting software such as MRI or RealPage
• Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience (internships or part-time roles acceptable)
• Exposure to multi-entity or property-based accounting environments
